Cheer-Golden Eagle Rec Cheer

The Golden Eagle Rec Cheer Program was founded in 2022 and is a cheer training opportunity for athletes from 1st to 8th grade. Our program practices weekly and competes at local competitions to build athletes cheer knowledge and skills.

In 2024, our U8 and U12 Teams were the Inaugural Colorado Rec and Middle STATE CHAMPIONS in their respective divisions! In 2025, our U8 Team were the reigning STATE CHAMPIONS and our U12 Team ended 3rd in an incredibly competitive division. Come join the incredibly fun, family focused and competitive atmosphere that is GOLDEN EAGLE REC!

Ages

Our program is available to athletes from 1st to 8th grade.

We will field 2-3 teams, taking into consideration athletes ages, experience and skill level.

WHERE

Practices will be held at both Cheer Athletics and Mountain Vista High School in the Commons.

WHEN

The Golden Eagle Rec Cheer season runs from June 8th to December 19th. During the season, the team will practice twice a week and compete 6 times in and just outside the Denver Metro Area, including Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Rock and Denver.

Practices will be at Cheer Athletics on Mondays and Wednesdays in June and July

Practices will be Mondays at Mountain Vista and Wednesdays at Cheer Athletics August through November

ALL December Practices will be at Mountain Vista

COST

Program Fees will be $775 for the season and can be paid in full or in 5 monthly installments.

Below is a breakdown of the full cost for the 7 month long season.

Program Costs (coaches fees, practice space rental fees, equipment, and other miscellaneous expenses): $475

Competition Fees (comp registration fees, music): $200

Team Bonding (1 event with the team, end of season banquet): $100

Additionally, parents will need to purchase the following items separately:

Gear - Purchased through ShirtWorks, price will vary (practice shirts, optional warm ups and fan gear)

Uniform - Only required for NEW Athletes. $200.

Cheer Athletics Monthly Membership - Covers cost of instruction at CA. $14/session, approximately $56 a month.

Choreography Camp - paid directly to KNWN Training Center. Cost TBD.

When is the registration deadline?

August 1, 2026

My athlete has a scheduling conflict with practice. Can they still join?

Usually, yes! We understand athletes are often involved in multiple activities. The answer depends on the frequency and timing of the conflict, but we can often work around other sports and commitments. Please reach out to discuss your specific situation.

What do summer practices look like?

June and July practices focus on skill development, including tumbling, stunting, jumps, and motions. Teams and competition choreography will be finalized in August.

How are teams determined?

Teams are based on age and skill level. Last season, the Green Team included athletes in 1st–5th grade, while the Gold Team included athletes in 4th–8th grade. Athletes in overlapping grade levels are evaluated on experience and skill level, and coaches work with families to determine the best fit.

When will uniforms and practice gear be ordered?

Uniforms and practice gear will be ordered in August after registration is complete.

How many competitions will teams attend?

Each team will compete in 6 competitions, including the Rec & Middle School State Championship.
