Mu Alpha Theta-MathNHS
Mu Alpha Theta, the National High School Mathematics Honor Society, was formed in 1957 at the University of Oklahoma. We are dedicated to inspiring a keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school. Currently, more than 100,000 students are Mu Alpha Theta members at more than 2,420 schools in the United States and in 23 foreign countries.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of at least two collegiate-level math courses with a math GPA of 3.75+ unweighted
- Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trig, Trig/Pre-Cal, Stats, Calculus, ACC courses
- Maintain a 3.5+ overall unweighted GPA
- Current enrollment of Algebra 2/Trig or higher.
- Be recommended by your math teacher and one additional teacher.

This membership fee covers the National Membership dues, contest materials fee, and chapter shirt.
